A Las Vegas charity is embarking on a heartwarming project for the 2026 holiday season.
Cure 4 The Kids Foundation (C4K), Nevada's only pediatric cancer and rare disease treatment center, is recording a reimagined version of the 1984 single, "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
Under the creative direction of Mitch Koulouris, C4K's Digital Marketing and Social Media Director, the song's chorus will be changed from "Feed the World" to "Heal the World," in honor of children battling life-threatening illness.
"For a passion project like this, it takes months to coordinate and complete all the recordings, mixing and editing, as well as shoot and produce the music video, which is why we’ve started this project a full year in advance," Koulouris shares. "It’s been an absolute joy to see how many people heard about this project and immediately wanted to be part of it."
Recording sessions began in September at Electric Shop Recording Studio, with help from C4K patients and local musicians, including Kyle Khou, American Idol casting producer and Las Vegas resident.
This project follows the foundation's previous success with the 2023 release of "Happy Xmas (Cancer's Over)," which featured Nick Carter and Khou, winning multiple awards including an Emmy and a Cannes Lion Award.
The song and music video are scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, with all streaming proceeds benefitting the children at C4K.
