Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions has kicked off a Giving Tuesday campaign with a generous donor pledging to match up to $10,000 in community donations. In addition, contributions made through the Givebutter platform on December 2 will receive a 1% bonus.
The appeal comes amid rising demand for rescue support, highlighted by a recent crisis in which Homeward Bound took in 13 cats and kittens after a young rescuer abruptly left town, leaving them in the care of her mother. Executive Director Vanessa Porter says the organization scrambled to find foster homes and emergency veterinary care thanks to past donor backing, all 13 are now safe.
Donations received through December 2 will be doubled, with funds going directly toward lifesaving services such as medical care, food, and shelter solutions for cats in need.
