SSOTD: Siblings separated due to foster care reunite for early Thanksgiving

Over the weekend, dozens of foster children were reunited for an early holiday gathering during Thanksgiving at the Ranch, an annual event hosted by St. Jude's Ranch for Children.

The event reunited siblings who have been separated while living in different foster homes.

Children and teens were guided by Food Network chef, Vic Vegas through preparing a classic Thanksgiving meal.

Siblings worked together, learning how to make various dishes including a homemade apple pie.

They also participated in arts and crafts, games, making gratitude jars, and took part in a 'Sibling Showdown' trivia challenge.

According to St. Jude's Ranch, many children in the organization's Sibling Preservation Program aren't able to spend Thanksgiving Day together due to their foster care placements.

This event gives these siblings a chance to reconnect and share traditions together, allowing them to experience a sense of family.
