This week Las Vegas police and community members gathered at Bob Price Park for National Night Out, aiming to strengthen trust and promote public safety in the Northeast Valley.
Officials described the night as an opportunity for more human, face‑to‑face engagement, beyond moments of conflict or crisis. “It gives us an opportunity to interact … on a human‑to‑human level,” said LVMPD Capt. Jonathan Riddle, while Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick underscored a decade-long effort to strengthen community relations.
Residents responded positively, saying the event improves trust. Police plan to increase patrols and visibility in response to recent concerns about crime and pedestrian safety.
