The Las Vegas community has the opportunity to come together and support a fallen officer's dream! In his honor, Henry Prendes's wife created an organization that supports underprivileged children with activities through a summer camp!
On February 1st, 2006, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Henry Prendes's life was taken away while on duty. Officer Prende's dream was to create a camp that brought together underprivileged kids and make an environment that brought life-changing experiences. This dream was brought to reality by his wife Dawn when she founded "Henry's Place".
As the organization is ready to host their 6th Annual Country Jamboree, the non-profit organization states, "Since our first camp in 2016, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to providing free, life-changing Christian Summer Camp experiences for kids who need it most. Time and time again, we've seen how just one week of camp can transform a child's life." The Country Jamboree will take place on October 3rd, 2025, at South Point Hotel & Casino.
