With the school year right around the corner and classes starting August 11th in Clark County, organizations are helping prepare with back to school supply fairs.
Cox will be hosting its annual fair on Saturday, August 9th at Meadows Mall from 11A to 3P. Families can connect with representatives from the Clark County School District, nonprofits, and community groups for resources and assistance. Free backpacks will be given out in limited quantities at each location.
The City of North Las Vegas will host its annual back-to-school event on Saturday, August 9, from 8A to 11A at the Neighborhood Recreation Center (1638 N. Bruce St.). Families can pick up free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last. The event is free and open to the public with no registration required.
SANITHRIFT Outlet will distribute donated school supplies on Saturday, August 9, at 32100 S. Las Vegas Blvd. in Primm, Nevada. Supplies will be given on a first-come, first-served basis, and students must show a valid student ID to receive them.
Clark County will host “Summer Fest,” a free back-to-school event, on Saturday, August 9, from 12P to 3P at the Cambridge Recreation Center (3930 Cambridge Street). The celebration will feature giveaways, food, backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and a bounce house, open to the entire community.
At all three Hussong's Mexican Cantina locations you can donate school supplies through August 8th and receive a free margarita or taco if you donate $10 or more in supplies.
