Recently, The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association (NIAA) announced lacrosse is an officially sanctioned sport in Nevada schools.
Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, lacrosse will be open to all students.
Some local schools have club lacrosse teams, however the schools were not able to sponsor the sport. Now, club teams will have access to more resources.
Governor, Joe Lombardo said, "Lacrosse is a sport with a rich cultural heritage, and I look forward to more Nevada students participating in it."
