Bird migration season is underway and the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is busier than ever.
Thousands of birds are migrating from south to north for summer, traveling as far as 30,000 miles. The Henderson Preserve is a crucial rest stop for birds traveling across the Pacific Migratory Flyway.
Now is the perfect time to visit the Preserve to see a wide variety of bird species. The Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve is located off Galleria Drive and allows locals to reconnect with nature and wildlife.
Dave Anderson, Vice President of Red Rock Audubon Society said, "Depending on what time of year you come here there can be different totally different types of species here, so migration time is really exciting."
