Three Square Food Bank is working to combat hunger in southern Nevada, focusing on ensuring that local families and children have enough to eat.
According to the organization, one in five children in the region lives in a home struggling with food insecurity.
Since 2007, Three Square has been serving the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda, and Clark Counties with a mission to provide wholesome food to those in need while working toward a hunger-free community. The organization values equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring everyone has access to resources that help eliminate hunger.
“As the cost of living rises, many families are finding it harder to put food on the table. This has led tens of thousands of students in the Clark County School District to rely on free or discounted meal programs for their daily nutrition,” the organization noted. To address this issue, Three Square has launched its "Bag Childhood Hunger" campaign, with all donations going toward supporting the food bank’s programs aimed at providing nutritious meals for children in need. Maurice Johnson from Three Square, alongside ARC Las Vegas and Evan Schreiber, shared that contributions to the campaign will be matched, doubling the impact of each donation.
