In honor of Women's History Month, the Vegas Thrill players recognized the women who inspired them throughout their journey.
Many players credited their success to the strong women in their families.
Sydney Cole and Grace Loberg credited their success to their moms who were volleyball players. Sydney Cole said she looked up to her mom for everything and is a major role model in her life.
Grace Loberg said her mom helped her realize that she can do anything she sets her mind to. She said, "I think all women need to hear that. If we work hard and put tons of effort and passion toward it, we can do that."
Tegan DeFalco said she is inspired by her sister, Tia's, strength while facing hardships in life. DeFalco said, "The best piece of advice she’s ever given me has probably been to continue to work hard no matter what anybody says and to keep my head up."
Mary Shroll said the legendary volleyball athletes, Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh, inspired her during her journey. Shroll said that seeing them play helped motivate her "to be the best that I can."
The Vegas Thrill said they hope to inspire young female athletes to make their mark.
