Maxx is a resilient three-legged Doberman puppy from Las Vegas, Nevada and he is set to compete in this year's Puppy Bowl XXI! The Puppy Bowl is an annual televised call-to-adopt event that will be airing on Sunday February 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. PT.
The Puppy Bowl is now in its 21st year and will feature 142 rescue puppies from 80 shelters across 40 states and 2 countries to showcase their adoption journeys!
Maxx arrived at Nevada SPCA when he was just 2 months old with a malformed front leg. He later went through surgery to amputate his leg. Despite Maxx's story, he adapted very well and lives remarkable after his surgery and is ready to represent Las Vegas on 'Team Ruff'!
Lori Heeren, Nevada SPCA's executive director explains, "We're so proud of Maxx, not only for his amazing performance as one of the best athletes in the Puppy Bowl despite his disability but especially for how Maxx has tackled life in general... Nothing slows Maxx down. He's faster than most dogs with four legs!"
The Puppy Bowl will be available to stream across different networks like Animal Planet and Discovery. The event will highlight the dedication and process shelters go through to find their animals their forever homes!
Maxx will be among 10 other disabled dogs competing in the Puppy Bowl to show their true resilience and strength!
