Today is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day! Downtown Las Vegas is hosting a parade this morning to celebrate Dr. King's legacy and bring the community together.
This year's Junior Grand Marshals for the parade are two born and raised Las Vegas students, Chordonn Allen and Kash Williams.
Chordonn Allen is an entrepreneur and a current UNLV business marketing student. He is the founder of the streetwear line, Kozy Studios Apparel. Allen celebrates individuality, culture, and community through his business.
Allen also co-hosts the Business Information Buffet podcast, a platform for entrepreneurs to share their knowledge on business and other topics.
He hopes to someday be a prominent leader in the community.
Kash Williams is a student at Cheyenne High School, where she serves as president of the Black Student Union.
She hopes to get into the home-building industry to help create affordable housing and help her community build generational wealth.
Williams is passionate about serving her community and plans to enlist in the U.S. Army Reserve and serve our country.
It's no doubt that Chordonn Allen and Kash Williams are emerging leaders in our community.
