SSOTD: Saxophone Brings Holiday Cheer On Delayed Flight

Recently, passengers stuck on a delayed flight in Atlanta, Georgia experienced an uplifting holiday surprise.

Delta Airlines' flight 1238 had already experienced a over an hour delay to depart, when passengers were given more bad news. The replacement flight crew was stuck in traffic, causing even more delays.

As flight attendants were trying to keep travelers comfortable, a man stood up and started playing Christmas music on his saxophone.

The saxophone player, Wayne Hoey, who served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, played Christmas carols and Baby Shark for passengers.

The travelers' mood instantly lifted and passenger, Kate Dailey said, "People were clapping, singing along, and cheering this man for his playing."

This story shows how one simple act of kindness can spread holiday cheer.
