This holiday season, The Animal Foundation has launched their NEW foster program that invites families to adopt a shelter dog during the holidays!
Families can foster a dog over 6 months old and weighing more than 35 pounds for a cozy holiday vacation! You can now foster a dog until December 24th.
Foster families can care for their holiday guests until at least December 25th.
The Animal Foundation will provide families with food and more available resources to help care for the dog. Adoption fees will be waived if the family hosting the pet adopts the animal or helps find an adopter.
Hilarie Grey, the CEO of The Animal Foundation explains how, "Fostering brings love to your home and can offer a shelter dog the holiday they deserve." She further explains how if there is extra room in your home that a foster dog is the perfect animal to cuddle up with your family all season long!
Families interested in fostering can pick up a dog at the shelter's foster window in the adoption lobby. The Animal Foundation is open Tuesday-Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Fosters are encouraged to fill out a foster application before arriving at the shelter which helps the process move faster!
