West Henderson Hospital opened on November 26th welcoming their first patients Tuesday morning! This new 400,000 square foot hospital is the sixth acute care hospital in The Valley Health System.
The new $385 million facility will offer services such as 24-7 emergency care, advanced cardiac services, neurology care and procedures for general surgery, orthopedics, and weight loss.
The hospital will now currently operate with 150 beds but plans to eventually reach 450 beds and also build additional Emergency Department Bays and Procedural Areas.
CEO Chris Loftus explained the need for the hospital in the community for this part of town and expects the facility to be busy. He also says how grateful that they are able to provide medical resources for this fast-growing community. Loftus says, "There's a high need for healthcare services in this part of the town, a lot of demand on other facilities... we wanted to be here to support the community and make sure that we had enough facilities and enough beds to be able to expand with the community."
