Last week, Miracle Flights achieved 100 million miles flown.
The milestone was celebrated at Harry Reid International Airport. In attendance was Congresswoman Dina Titus and Commissioner Jim Gibson.
Miracle Flights is a nonprofit organization that provides free commercial flights to children in need of life-saving medical care.
The event was a sendoff for 8-year old Luna Duran, who travels to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City for her oncology care.
"For us to get to Utah is quite a feat and having to travel up there can be kind of difficult," explained Luna's mom, Sarah. "Miracle Flights has been amazing offering to fly us to and from."
Since 1985, Miracle Flights has coordinated more than 150,000 free flights. To learn more about the organization, click here.
