SSOTD: Celebration of 10 Years of Slotzilla Taking Place on September 18th

On Wednesday, September 18th, a celebration to honor ten years of SlotZilla is taking place. For a special throwback price of $25 and $45, attendees will have the chance to ride the 11-story Super-Hero Zoomline, exclusively on September 18th. The prices do not include processing fees. At 3 p.m., Mayor Carolyn Goodman will also be making a special appearance to proclaim the day as “SlotZilla Day." SlotZilla has flown over 3.8 million riders over its ten-year history.

In commemoration of the 10 years, Fremont Street Experience shared 10 things to know about the Zip Line:

  1. At an impressive 12 stories tall, SlotZilla is the largest slot machine in the world.
  2. Flyers riding the Super-Hero Zoomline can reach speeds of up to 35 mph.
  3. The attraction houses two iconic ziplines: the Super-Hero Zoomline, which launches from 11-stories high; and ZipZilla, which launches from 7-stories high.
  4. Guests can either fly upright or with their arms out in front of them like a superhero.
  5. The Super-Hero Zoomline traverses five city blocks, passing iconic resorts such as Golden Nugget, Binions Gambling Hall & Casino, Circa Resort & Casino, Fremont Hotel & Casino, and more, giving riders a one-of-a-kind perspective over downtown Las Vegas.
  6. The multi-million-dollar slot machine boasts an array of Vegas-inspired iconography, including oversized dice, a martini glass, a pink flamingo, showgirls, and more.
  7. Multiple celebrities have flown SlotZilla, including Katy Perry, Steve Aoki, and Vampire Diaries icons Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.
  8. The Zipline runs underneath the massive Viva Vision, the largest single LED screen in the world.
  9. Riders at night can catch a birds-eye-view of live entertainment from Fremont Street Experience’s 1st Street Stage, 3rd Street Stage, and Main Street Stage.
  10. Opening in 2014, SlotZilla brought new life and extreme adventure to the downtown Las Vegas area.
