The Opportunity Village announced a time capsule project to celebrate their 70th anniversary.
The Opportunity Village is inviting the general public and supporters to contribute items to the capsule from August 1st through the 30th.
President and CEO of Opportunity Village, Bob Brown, said, "It’s our 70th year, and we are grateful to our community for their continued support. We have much to be thankful for this year, and we want to celebrate with the Las Vegas community."
Suggested donations include historical photos taken at Opportunity Village, Magical Forest or other event memorabilia, news clippings, or memories of past participants from Opportunity Village. The organization also asks that contributors only donate items they don't mind not being returned. Additionally, due to space limitations, not all items will be included.
The final time capsule will be onsite at the planned Betty's Village North and Northwest Opportunity Village Campus, near I-215 and North Decatur Boulevard. The time capsule is scheduled to be opened in 30 years, on the nonprofit's 100th anniversary.
