Vegas Cares Boutique is offering new clothes for homeless youth free of charge while also spreading awareness about the dangers of sex trafficking.
The boutique was created in partnership with Help of Southern Nevada and Prevent Child Trafficking Vegas. Their goal is to offer the same shopping experience as a high-end boutique, while educating youth about the warning signs and dangers of trafficking. Vegas Cares Boutique offers brand new clothes in a variety of sizes and styles.
The free shop is open only to the residents of the Shannon West Youth Homeless Shelter, which houses over 130 people ranging from the ages of 16 to 24. Residents are able to pick out four different pieces of clothing and will have two shopping days a week.
Vegas Cares Boutique plans to stay open for the next few months.
