SSOTD: Las Vegas Is Bringing back Pop-up Produce Stands

Pop-up produce stands are coming back to Las Vegas. The stands give access to organic, affordable, locally grown fruits and vegetables. The pop-up stands will be located at Bonneville Transit Center. The address is 101 E. Bonneville Avenue, Las Vegas. The stand will be open from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7th, May 14th, June 4th, and June 11th, while supplies last. To pay for the produce, customers will be able to use their SNAP/EBT cards, cash, or debit or credit cards. The pop-ups will also have nutrition education, healthy recipe cards, and other health resources available. On Mondays and Saturdays, city officials in Henderson will be hosting farmers markets as well. On Monday, the market will be at Lee’s Family Forum, located at 200 S. Green Valley Parkway. Then, on Saturdays, the market will be at Cornerstone Park, located at 1600 Wigwam Parkway. The hours for both farmer's markets will be 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. According to Henderson officials, there will also be arts and crafts available at the markets.
