A single father in Nebraska recently won the $1 million lottery.
Brant Edgington was shopping for lunch at a Baker's supermarket when he decided to try his luck with the Mega Millions. Having some trouble using the scanner, the clerk checked the ticket for him.
The clerk stared at him, "Don't pass out when I tell you this."
Brant was the lucky winner of $1 million!
He claimed his prize at the Nebraska Lottery office in Lincoln.
When asked if he would continue to play, Brant said no. "I don't play all that often," he said. "As a single parent, bologna is more important, financially."
According to the Nebraska Lottery, the odds of winning $1 million playing Mega Millions are 1 in 12.6 million.
