The Henderson Animal Shelter is waiving their adoption fees now until Saturday, April 6th thanks to the Best Friends Animal Society. The organization is paying for all fees including spaying, neutering, micro-chipping and vaccinations.
In February, the Henderson Animal Shelter and other shelters across the Valley faced a canine influenza outbreak. The shelter handled the outbreak well by treating the dogs effected, isolating each dog to stop further spread, and postponed intake from owners. After overcoming these obstacles, the shelter is now open for adoptions with over two dozen dogs in need of loving homes.
The Henderson Animal Shelter updates their website often with animals that are ready for adoption. The shelter is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with adoptions closing at 4:30 p.m. There is no appointment needed and animals are first-come, first-serve. They are located at 300 E. Galleria Dr.
