Mission High School, Las Vegas' only Recovery High School transforms a restaurant, The Blooming Bistro, to help give troubled youth workforce training.

The program aims to give young people in recovery between 16-24 years old the opportunity to gain experience in the workforce. It also helps teach abstinence from substance use, the health, social, and behavioral consequences of substance abuse, as well as housing stability and social connectedness. The programs mentors are people who overcame substance abuse and are looking to help guide those in recovery in the right direction.

Councilman Cedric Crear visited Mission High and said, "We have a lot of peer to peer mentorship that's taking place and that's important because you want to see people that have gone down the same route that you've gone through who can speak your language and your nomenclature to see them doing well."
