Locals had the opportunity to spend the day with police officers at the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department hosted their third annual "Cruisin' with the Cops" event on Sunday.
Members of the community of all ages came together to hang out with police officers. The free event was filled with fun activities including rollercoasters and go-kart racing. Capt. Esmeralda Boveda of the Metro Police Department said their goal is to have children make positive memories with police officers and to remember racing with them at Mini Grand Prix when they are older.
Tiffany Capers, who brought her son and daughter said, "It makes me feel special. Everybody should feel special that they took time out of their day to organize this, put this together, and let us know what they thought about us."
