The three month long search is finally over. The Dillow family in Iowa reunites with their dog that ran away in November.
Recently, their mastiff named Ladybug, was returned to them after being missing for three months with the help from their community.
Deborah Dillow said that the community with 300 volunteers came together to help find Ladybug every day. Her next door neighbors handed out over 40 flyers in the cold and Todd Rector, with the Iowa Storm Chasing Network, used his drone to help track down the mastiff.
Then one day, while Rector was using his drone, he found Ladybug. “We were able to get close up pictures and there was just no doubt this was Ladybug. We were all just elated," he said.
Ladybug was found in the city of Adel, which is about 14 miles away from home. The community was ecstatic to finally take her home. Deborah Dillow said, "Our family is so happy to have her back.”
