SSOTD: JetBlue Vending Machines provide Las Vegas students with free books

Las Vegas and JetBlue is partnering up to install a set a vending machines that will provide books for free at a several community centers.

"Soaring With Reading" is a JetBlue program that the airline launched in 2011 to help promote reading.

The first vending machine was installed in Washington D.C. in 2015. The first vending machine in Las Vegas is at the Doolittle Community Center, near west Lake Mead blvd and J street, and the Mirabelli Community Center, on Hargrove Avenue near South Jones Boulevard.

City officials said books will be available for children up to 14 years old starting August 6 while supplies last.
