The moon may be coming way closer to Earth if a developer gets his way. Canadian entrepreneur Michael Henderson has proposed a $5 billion real estate project in Dubai that will feature a resort inside a 900-foot replica of the moon. The project includes a 4,000-room hotel and 10,000-seat arena and a “lunar colony" that will supposedly make guests feel like they’re walking on the moon. The resort will potentially sit on a pedestal and glow in the dark at night.
Though Henderson would love to include a casino, gambling is currently illegal in the United Arab Emirates. However, brands like Wynn Resorts have plans to build in Dubai in 2027, which hints at changing coming to UAE laws.
