The Big Search is in its 15th year and was created by the non-profit organization FREE International that has joined forces with the local police. Authorities located 21 children in the Las Vegas valley during an operation intended to locate missing and exploited kids last month, according to state officials.
Multiple agencies worked on 35 missing person cases, with the age range of victims between 12 and 18 years old, Nevada State Police said. Nevada State Police participated in this year's "The Big Search," an operation that took place over Super Bowl weekend between Feb. 9-11.
The Nevada Attorney General's Office, the Clark County School District Police Department, and Clark County Department of Family Services also collaborated in the event, along with several not-for-profits.
