A man videoing himself in his van last week grabbed a Cadbury’s Crème Egg and started eating it until his friends pointed out that he was snacking on a lot of money. The egg he was eating was one of the 280 special half-white, half-milk chocolate versions the company had put out across the UK, with each one worth a prize of just over $12k.
Adam Davis says he doesn’t feel “too bad” about eating the egg, saying the “story of an epic fail” lasts a lifetime. He added, “But yeah, obviously the money would’ve been nice.” He’s reached out to Cadbury to see if they’ll at least give him part of the prize money.
