Stewie Vuitton, a miniature horse from Massachusetts is among the top 10 finalists for the 2023 Cadbury Bunny.
The 23-inch tall horse was rescued from an Ohio auction a little over a year ago. Although he suffered from leg and hoof issues due to his genetic condition, veterinarians worked to improve Stewie's mobility. He now serves as a therapy horse at Lifting Spirits Miniature Therapy Horses in Massachusetts. "Once his medical issues were under control, Stewie spent six-months in training to provide animal-assisted therapy to adults and children," said Lifting Spirits founder Toni Hadad.
According to Hadad, Lifting Spirits visits over 100 facilities in the New England area such as nursing homes, schools, and hospitals.
This year, Cadbury is highlighting rescue pets for their fifth annual nationwide tryouts. "We were thrilled to see Cadbury focus this year's contest on rescue pets, recognizing not only the incredible work of rescue organizations but also the endless love, loyalty, and service that all these animals give back," says Hadad.
The winner will star in the 2023 Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial. They will also receive $5,000, plus an additional $5,000 to donate to the animal rescue organization of their choice. Voting ends March 14, and the winner will be selected March 21.
