A 13-year old RSV survivor uses the power of music to thank the UMC staff that treated him.
Markus Brown was born three months early and weighed only one pound. Having various health issues growing up, Markus didn't speak until he was four years old. His mother says, "He spoke through music."
Due to his health complications, it was especially scary when Markus recently contracted RSV, which landed him in the pediatric ICU for six days.
During his treatment, Markus went to the musical therapy program, which hospital staff said 'put a smile' on his face.
To thank the staff that treated him, Markus has been playing music at UMC throughout the month of December.
His next performance will be on Wednesday, December 21.
