Madonna is evolving into a digital form as she has created a “Mother of Creation” NFT Collection.
Madonna teamed up with Beeple (real name Mike Winkelmann) for the Mother of Creation videos, an “NFT triptych” that will “represent a different form of birth in our contemporary world,” will raise money for good causes.
The NFT creation took a year to create and is based on Mother Nature with the Pop Queen’s likeness giving birth to a rapidly growing tree in one clip. The series will follow with “Mother of Evolution” (which contains lyrics from “Justify My Love”), and “Mother of Technology.”
The NFT will benefit women's causes such as Voices of Children Foundation, helping women and children affected by the Ukraine war, City of Joy Foundation, which advocates for victims of violence in the Republic of Congo, and Black Mama’s Bail Out which helps incarcerated caregivers.
The artwork will be auctioned off Wednesday (May 11) on the NFT marketplace SuperRare. Can you explain NFTs?
