This past Tuesday the Clark County School District announced that they would be taking 2 extra days off of the school week due to a shortage of teachers because of the rising COVID-19 cases. Students had already had this Monday. January 17th off in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and now will have Friday the 14th and Tuesday the 18th off as well.

The City of Henderson has decided to hold a program through the break to relieve parents of the schedule stress they may be facing due to the unexpected break. Battle Born Kids and Teens program will be held at Henderson's recreation centers from 7 am to 6 pm for $27 a day per child. Children from ages 5-11 are eligible for the kids program, and teens ages 12-14 are eligible for the teens program. (KTNV)
