This Friday marks the fourth anniversary of the 1 October tragedy that the Las Vegas community faced back in 2017. A series of events will begin at sunrise on Friday morning and extend through the weekend to memorialize the victims of that night.

There is a multitude of exhibits across the valley that are likely to be visited by many this Friday. Several events are organized in California this weekend as well, as many country fans that attended the festival are residents of the state.

An annual 1 October Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony begins the series of memorials at the Clark County Government Amphitheater from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Immediately following the ceremony, the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation is partnering with Downtown Summerlin and Vitalant to host a blood drive outside of City National Arena. That evening, Ralph Cadwallader Middle School will open its Angel Wing Project exhibit to the public from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A human chain will form around the Route 91 festival grounds at 9:00 PM the night of October 1st, and First Friday plans to hold a moment of silence at 10:01 PM followed by a reading of the victim's names.

If you're unable to make the events on Friday, there are still some events you can participate in throughout the rest of the weekend. From 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 2nd, the 4th Annual Route 91 Memorial (Motorcycle) Ride begins at the Henderson Harley-Davidson, followed by a raffle at the end. Another opportunity to donate blood is available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Stoney's Rockin Country. Finally, the Jus Run Vegas Strong 5K concludes the weekend at 8:00 AM on October 3rd. (KLAS)
