Seventeen Las Vegas Fire & Rescue firefighter recruits, who have completed intensive training over the past 19 weeks, graduated Thursday, July 22 in a ceremony at City Hall. Ceremonies were held in Council Chambers on the second floor at 495 S. Main St. The new firefighters will be assigned to various city fire stations to help strengthen the number of firefighters in the city of Las Vegas.
Class 2021-1 started March 15, 2021. The recruits received training in various subjects pertaining to firefighting, emergency medical services and hazardous materials.
The new firefighters will be given their assignments to report to one of 21 city fire stations, beginning duties next week.
