The amount of Drunk Driving accidents that happen in the valley has been quite staggering this year.
One local bar is on a mission to help curb those accidents by offering a very unique promotion.
Parkway Tavern will be giving 'safe driver citations' for any patron that decides to leave their car overnight.
When they come back in the morning there will be a green flier placed on the vehicle that can be used for one free classic breakfast.
That's not the only way Parkway Tavern is stepping up to prevent drunk driving.
They also use an app to monitor how much a patron drinks.
The bar uses an app that notifies a customer once they have reached a certain amount of drinks.
“If you have a certain amount of drinks, you’ll get a push notification to your phone that says it looks like you’ve been having a great time, ask a manager, and we’re happy to get a ride for you,” said Fine.
35,000 people have downloaded the app dubbed Parkway Team.
“We make sure that our guests get home the appropriate way, if I have to take keys, I’ll take keys. I’ll do whatever it takes,” said Scott.
