Q: If you were talking to yourself on the first day you started your career, what would be the piece of advice you would give yourself on that first day?
A: Embody excellence in every job, role or position that you hold. Not only will you open up opportunities for yourself but our community needs greatness across all sectors.
Q: What is a quote or saying you live by, and why?
A: There’s this amazing quote by Alex Hormozi – “You don’t become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are. Outwork your self-doubt.” I love this quote because everyone who I know deals with some level of imposter syndrome. No one feels ready, good enough nor prepared enough to do whatever it is they are doing but the confidence comes as a result of the action not before.
Q: How do you “shine” in your career/field in a unique market like Las Vegas?
A: I think you do that by not focusing on the “shine” or the spotlight. My hope is that, by prioritizing innovative ways to serve my community with compassion, dignity and respect, my inherent gifts are utilized to their greatest capacity. The spotlight is then focused on the work and the impact and not on the individual.
