Q: If you were talking to yourself on the first day you started your career, what would be the piece of advice you would give yourself on that first day?
A: I would tell myself to not stress too much, everything will work out even if it doesn’t feel like it in the moment and the challenges that seem overwhelming now will be lessons you look back on with confidence. I would also remind myself that I can do hard things. There will be long days, unexpected setbacks and moments of doubt, but you are capable and more resilient than you think. Put yourself out there. Networking might feel uncomfortable at first, but the connections and relationships you build will come back in ways you never expect.
Q: What is a quote or saying you live by, and why?
A: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Maya Angelou
Emotions leave a lasting impact in personal relationships, leadership or everyday interactions. We have to remember that we are all human at the end of the day, doing our best.
Q: How do you “shine” in your career/field in a unique market like Las Vegas?
A: You have to think bigger and move faster in Las Vegas, so I always encourage the team to go beyond the obvious and find fresh angles, unexpected collaborations and ways to turn a good idea into something unforgettable. I always try to deliver something that’s a step above the rest for our clients.
