Q: If you were talking to yourself on the first day you started your career, what would be the piece of advice you would give yourself on that first day?

A: It's okay to fall, as long as you fall forward. When you do, get up, dust yourself off, and keep going. Your mission is to change lives one haircut at a time.

Q: What is a quote or saying you live by, and why?

A: “Always leave a situation or a room better than you found it.” Whether it's making someone smile, pushing in a chair, holding a door open, or simply picking up some trash, these little actions go a long way. People often remember how you made them feel when they met you.

Q: How do you “shine” in your career/field in a unique market like Las Vegas?

A: Navigating a male-dominated industry, especially in a vibrant place like Las Vegas, can be both challenging and incredibly rewarding. To shine,I had to create a unique brand with an inclusive atmosphere, focusing on children with autism and special needs.

In Las Vegas, over 2000 barbershops are registered, with 97% being male-owned and run by barbers with years of experience. As a woman and the new kid on the block with no hair experience whatsoever, I knew I had to differentiate 101 Barbershop. I aimed to make it a go-to place for families seeking a welcoming environment that also gives back to the community and helps those in need. Sharing my story, especially the inspiration behind this journey, was crucial. My son, Jordan, is the driving force behind it all. This passion has flourished into a thriving business, dedicated to providing high-end haircuts and grooming services, particularly for those with special needs.
