Here's Today's Feel-Good Story:
Bookstores are making a strong comeback in parts of the US as evidenced by Barnes & Noble opening their 31st new store in Papillion, Nebraska. The company is expected to reach 50 to 60 new stores this year alone as book sales boom.
“It’s so exciting,” said Janine Flanigan, Senior Director of Store Planning and Design with Barnes & Noble. “We came to a screeching halt in terms of opening stores. We hadn’t opened stores in a very long period of time.”
“We opened 31 stores which is actually more stores than we opened in the past 10 years combined,” she said. “This year we’re looking to open somewhere between 50-60 new stores.”
