The Cupid Crew is a group of volunteers that makes sure that senior citizens are not left out of the fun of celebrating Valentine's Day. The Crew usually delivers roses and sweet notes on Valentine's Day in person to senior citizens across the country. This year, with the pandemic, they had to make some adjustments. This year, the crew enlisted the help of the Girl Scouts to deliver more cards to seniors.
"I feel it every time we walk into one of those senior living facilities," Laura Larson, a member of the Cupid Crew since 2016 said. "It's so evident to me how much just a few minutes of my time makes a difference to them."
As a "thank you" to Larson for her acts of kindness, Planters Peanuts, and the TODAY Show teamed up to give Larson gifts including flowers, chocolates, and balloons. Every resident of RiverPointe Senior Living of Littleton, Colorado will also receive special Valentine's Day gifts. Planters will also be donating $20,000 to Wish of a Lifetime from AARP to continue the Cupid Crew's mission.
