Burton Hughes, GM of Subaru Las Vegas

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Named after his father who served as a pastor, and his paternal grandfather who sold Studebaker automobiles during the Baby-Boom years following World War II, Burton has faithfully carried on the legacy of his patriarchs. Burton began his automotive career at 19 years old, and advanced to Branch Manager of Big Island Honda / Mercedes-Benz by the age of 29.

At 30 years old, Burton followed his father's footsteps into full-time pastoral ministry on the Big Island of Hawaii-eventually moving with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada. After 18 years, Burton returned to the automotive career he was always so passionate about, and has been the general manager of Subaru of Las Vegas since August 2007.

In his words, "My career and my calling go hand in hand." Burton has been married to his teenage sweetheart, Toni Chambliss Hughes for 45 years, has three children, Cameron (Laury) Hughes, Emma (Danielle) Moore, and Elizabeth (Kevin) Farias, who have blessed him with four amazing grandchildren-with hopefully more on the way.

Outside of his responsibilities at Subaru of Las Vegas, Burton enjoys spending time with his family, ministering in his local church, and sailing his Hunter 36 in Ventura, CA.
