Taylor Momsen Wears Cindy Lou Who Costume 25 Years Later

Before she rocked out with The Pretty Reckless, and before she was Gossip Girl's Jenny Humphrey, Taylor Momsen was Cindy Lou Who in iconic holiday flick How The Grinch Stole Christmas. And as the film turns 25 years old this year, Momsen is remembering her beloved character by putting on the little Who's dress on from the actual movie.

In a video posted to her social media, Momsen recently revisited her iconic character by squeezing into the original costume 25 years after the film's release. The holiday classic, which debuted in 2000, featured Momsen as the charming little girl who warmed the Grinch's (played by Jim Carey) heart and made it grow three sizes! Taylor captioned the clip, "Yes…that is my real Cindy costume from the Grinch movie 🥰 25 years later…it still (kind of) fits 🤣 what a surreal holiday season ."

Despite her transition from acting to a music career with her band, Momsen's portrayal of Cindy Lou Who remains a beloved part of her career. Her decision to wear the costume again delighted fans and brought a wave of nostalgia as the holiday season approached.

In fact, Taylor released a holiday EP, Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas, which features four original songs and two Grinch classics, including a remake of the beloved "Where Are You Christmas?"
