Mark McLeod was arrested for stalking Miley Cyrus in 2009.

According to reports obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the then 53-year-old showed up to her concerts and book signings and even proposed to her when she was just 16 years old. McLeod's sister, Larilyn Adair, recently appeared in the ID docuseries Hollywood Demons, where she revealed the true extent of the situation.

Adiar was present when her brother asked their mother for her diamond ring.

"He says, 'Well, I'm going to get engaged.' And I was really kind of excited for him because he was in his 50s and was finally going to get married." McLeod didn't tell his mother and sister much about his future spouse, only that her name was Miley.

"He didn't want to tell me at all, but I kind of figured it out it was Miley Cyrus," Adair revealed before noting that McLeod believed he interacted with Miley in a fan chatroom.

"I thought that it was just another one of those things that he was excited about, whether it be the UFOs or the mothership. I did not put any red flags. Nothing came up in my mind at that point until he decided that he wanted to marry her."

McLeod attended one of the "7 Things" star's concerts and made eye contact with her, later revealing that's what gave him the green light to hop on her tour bus. After being asked to leave the bus by security, McLeod spoke with police officer Warren Millikan about an alleged interaction he had with Billy Ray Cyrus, (per ABC30).

"Our eyes met at her concert, and we both knew. I walked straight through security and up to her bus. [Billy Ray Cyrus] was standing there. He shook my hand and said, 'You're the good man we've been praying for,'" McLeod assured Millikan.

McLeod followed Cyrus to a book signing in 2009, where he gave her flowers, asked her to marry him, and was escorted out by security. Later that year, he followed her to The Last Song movie set and was arrested "on charges of obstruction and disorderly conduct." He was released from jail the next day and returned to the set, only to be arrested again.

Adair saw news of the arrest on TV during her lunch break and was shocked.

"I'm like, 'Whoa, he's been arrested.' I've never known Mark to be violent. I couldn't believe that he'd gone that far. That was a lot." McLeod was diagnosed with "delusional disorder" after his stalking charges were dropped.

Following the trial, Adair helped her brother find a new home in a different state and claimed that, to this day, he "seems pretty happy by himself."
