The Giving Machine is returning to Las Vegas this holiday season.

The charitable vending machine allows people to donate essential items to those in need across the globe.

Imagine swiping your credit card and rather than buying yourself a soda, you're buying clean water for a family in a third-world country or a pair of shoes for a homeless high school student.

There are also an array of local charities featured at the Giving Machines, such as Baby's Bounty, Three Square, Opportunity Village, Catholic Charities and Helping Hands of Vegas Valley.

100% of all donations will go directly to the designated nonprofit.

The Giving Machine has two locations in Las Vegas: Downtown Summerlin and The District at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. Both locations will be open until January 1st.

Last year, both locations raised more than $693,000 in donations, including more than $398,000 in local charities.
