The 2024 NFL draft wrapped up this weekend, and one Las Vegas local's dream is beginning to come true.

Troy Fautanu, former offensive lineman at Liberty High School was selected in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the same team he grew up watching.

"I mean, it's a dream come true man," Troy said. "God couldn't have written this in any better way."

Troy's whole family was with him when he received the call, celebrating at Scotty's Restaurant and Lounge in Southern Highlands. His grandmas sat on each side of him, calming him down and putting his mind at ease throughout the night.

His family was overjoyed when he received the call, and even more so when they found out he was going to be a Steeler. "It meant more than anything honestly, just being able to turn around and know that I have the people who have been supporting me from day one," Troy said.

Troy is the first football player in Liberty High School history to be selected as a first round pick in the NFL draft.
