May 10, 2025

10 a.m. to noon

Fourth Street from Gass to Stewart avenues in downtown Las Vegas

Bring the family to experience the annual Helldorado Days Parade Saturday, May 10, in downtown Las Vegas on Fourth Street between Gass and Stewart avenues. The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will last about two hours. There are 135 entries expected. There will be grandstands with shade at Bridger Avenue, food trucks with refreshments, and some fun giveaways.

Expect to enjoy 11 high school marching bands, Zelzah Shriner flivver cars, hundreds of costumed dancers, plenty of equestrian groups, car clubs, motorcycle clubs, school and business floats, the city’s Big Red fire truck and so much more. KSNV-TV 3 News Anchors Chloe Koast and Evan Schreiber will narrate the parade and help judge the entries to select the Best Marching Band, Best Casino Float and Best Historic Las Vegas-themed Float.

Fourth Street between Las Vegas Boulevard and Stewart Avenue, as well as adjacent cross streets, will close to through traffic by 6 a.m. May 10 and reopen after the parade. See the map for parade staging areas, parade route and nearby parking lots/garages. There is no fee to participate in the parade.

The Helldorado Days Parade has deep roots in the city of Las Vegas. It is the longest running event in Las Vegas. The event originated in 1935 under the name Helldorado, created by Clyde Zerby to capitalize on the dam workers and the visitors that the construction of the dam brought to the area. The festival became so popular that in 1946, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans filmed a movie in Las Vegas with Helldorado Days as the movie’s backdrop. May 15 is the 120th anniversary of the land auction in 1905, which marks the beginning of Las Vegas. For more information on the Helldorado Days Parade, call 702.229.4859.
