Silverado Ranch Park

Southern Nevada's biggest pet party is here! Get your pups and your neon swag ready because Nevada SPCA’s 4th Annual Neon Dog Walk: Day Glo presented by Foundation XNL and sponsored by The Office of Commissioner Michael Naft is back, and this year it’s brighter than ever! This year's fundraiser and walk will take place during the day on Saturday, October 19th at its new location and time at Silverado Ranch Park from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Silverado Ranch Park is located at 9855 Gilespie St.

This fun, family-friendly event is one of Nevada SPCA's largest and most important fundraisers of the year, with proceeds helping to save the lives of thousands of animals in Southern Nevada. This year, our goal is to raise over $150,000 which is money that will support our intake and subsequent care of so many animals in need right now in our community,” said Lori Heeren, Nevada SPCA Executive Director. Programs include adoptions, foster care, volunteer, and a community support program that includes a pet food pantry, microchip and vaccination clinics and medical assistance programs to help keep pets with their owners.

Participants can enter by registering as an individual, create, or join a team by visiting: https://neondogwalk.nevadaspca.org/. Paid registrants will receive an exclusive Neon Dog Walk T-shirt, hat, and wag bag, which will be available for pickup at Nevada SPCA shelter ahead of the event, from Monday, October 7th through Friday, October 18th. Participants and their dogs can expect to enjoy an optional 1-mile walk around Silverado Ranch Park which will kick-off at 10:30am.

This year’s Neon Village will feature live music by Kelly Sheehan and The Wedge Brothers, entertainment, several local food trucks, a craft beer garden featuring Mojave Brewing Company, Big Dogs, Brewing, Las Vegas Brewing Company, and North 5th Brewing Co., as well as pet-friendly vendors. The Neon Village is open to the general public.

For the safety of the attendees, dogs must be friendly, up to date on their vaccinations, and remain leashed at all times. Funds raised during the Neon Dog Walk through registration fees and individual donations will help to provide medical care for sick and injured animals and supports Nevada SPCA’s overall mission to reduce pet homelessness and animal suffering in Southern Nevada.

Additional sponsors include Findlay Toyota, Dollar Loan Center, Lerner & Rowe Gives Back, Ambient Edge, Best Mattress, Tito's Vodka for Dog for People, Las Vegas Review Journal, Raising Cane's, Frontier Airlines, Dogwalkers, Whole Foods, and Sunny 106.5.
