SSOTD: Raiders team up with CCSD to expand youth flag football programs

The Las Vegas Raiders are teaming up with Clark County School District to expand and enhance flag football programs across Southern Nevada.

Flag football has increased in popularity across CCSD and throughout Nevada. Since its introduction more than ten years ago, the sport has nearly tripled in participation.

A key driver behind this growth has been the support of the Raiders. Through funding, equipment donations and community events, they've provided meaningful opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills and showcase their talents.

"It's really fun, it teaches you better techniques, makes you pay attention, and teaches you about leadership," said Alijah Powell of Sig Rogich Middle School.

As part of their partnership with CCSD, the Raiders are investing $100,000 into the flag football program. Each participating school will benefit from Raiders-branded flag belts, equipment kits, Raider apparel and special activations, including gameday recognition.

This collaboration marks a significant stride toward more inclusive and accessible youth sports in Southern Nevada.
