On the latest issue of Vendetta for Vitality, a city faces a sugary threat after it's villain Vigor Vandal drains all citizens of their energy though thriving off of a population that is addicted to energy drinks, caffeine fixes, and sugar drinks! As the city loses their energy, Dewey, the clean water superhero challenges the villain with the clean pure water that proves hydration is the foundation for genuine energy and health. Dewey restored the cities energy and reminded its readers its "never too late to hydrate!"
The president of Multipure; Zachary Rice, explains "Kids have easy access to sports drinks, sodas, and energy drinks, but the best fuel for their bodies is simple: Water." He further explains how Dewey, the clean water superhero is able to get this message out there with an action-packed adventure which demonstrates the importance of clean water and proper hydration.
According to multiple studies, children are not drinking enough water despite the importance to your overall health. Instead, many children turn to depend on sugary sports drinks or caffeine packed energy drinks to gain their energy from which can negatively impact a body that is still developing and growing. Multipure's comic book series aims to spread a healthy message towards the importance of hydration with its action-packed series!
To celebrate the launch of Dewey's newest comic, Multipure has launched an art & essay competition for students in grades K-5 and that are a part of the Clark County School District (CCSD). CCSD students will have the chance to design a villain character with a threat to healthy hydration, as well as a 50-word response as to why Dewey must defeat them!
